During Christmas break the 4-H program created activity packs for youth to do during break.
The four categories included: a craft, science experiment, family fun and a gift for others.
One 4-H Clover Kid went above and beyond to give a gift to others within her community. Scarlett Pryor, a seven-year-old, of Alliance, spent her break creating what she calls “blessing bags” to give to residents and nursing staff at Highland Park Care Center.
Scarlett created a total of 134 blessing bags. 49 residents received a bag along with 85 of the nursing staff. The residents’ bags contained cookies, candy canes, hot chocolate and more!
The nursing staff received super hero band aids, hand sanitizer, candies, tissues and other goodies! Scarlett’s generosity inspired a local lady to donate some items to Scarlett, to help in creating her blessing bags. This inspiring story shows how one act of kindness can be contagious and lift lots of spirits.
