I was born and raised in the panhandle of Nebraska. In 2014 I graduated from Gordon-Rushville High School. I participated in high school sports such as volleyball, basketball, and track. Unlike most of the other officers you have gotten to know, I had little interest in enlisting in the military and college was just not for me.
I became a bartender at my local country club and through that job, I had gained the opportunity to be hired on at the Gordon Police Department as an administrative assistant. I was enjoying myself working full time. I had never felt like I belonged in any group of people until I was introduced to the law enforcement community.
While working at the Gordon PD, I took part in a ride-along with one of the officers and that was when I decided I wanted to become a law enforcement officer and help people.
Shortly after, I was hired as a dispatcher at the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office. I was with Saunders County for approximately two years before I was hired on as a police officer at the Alliance Police Department in 2018.
