The second annual Alliance Community-Wide Garage Sale, organized by the Alliance Times-Herald, is fast approaching, with the deadline to reserve spots on the map drawing near.
The Alliance Times-Herald organized the event in an effort to draw people to the community. The community-wide garage sale is set to take place the weekend of June 3-5. Last year, the inaugural community-wide garage sale was a success.
“Last year, the first sale was a huge hit,” said Shaun Friedrichsen, Alliance Times-Herald Co-Publisher. “We had so many phone calls after the first community-wide garage sale where people were asking when the next one would be. Our goal in organizing this community event was to bring people together, which I think that goal was achieved. We are excited to continue hosting this event.”
People still have an opportunity to reserve their spot on the map that will be published in the June 1 edition of the Alliance Times-Herald. The deadline for entries is Friday, May 27 at noon. The cost is $5 for the ad, which includes 30 words and a photo, or 60 words without a photo.
