Shelbee Burke, daughter of Tom and Gail Burke is the recipient of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 7 scholarship of $400. The scholarship is granted to a graduating senior who has been a Junior member of Unit 7 for at least three consecutive years. Burke is eligible for Auxiliary membership through her grandfather Edwin Schrum who served in World War II. She plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to pursue a major in Family and Consumer Science Education with a minor in Education Psychology.
