“The whole convention had lots of workshops and talks that you can go too. So, we had lots of girls go to a bunch of those, and I think they thought they were helpful. Our chapter is starting with a new advisor next year. We were trying to learn some new things to have a better start for our chapter next year,” said Digmann.
The five groups competed with each group having their own time that they had to compete. They had four groups that earned gold and one that earned silver.
The girls that earned silver were Kealee Jelinek and Taylee Thompson in their project that was the chapter service project display. Kalli Bridge received gold in sports nutrition. Digmann received gold in repurpose and redesign. Emily McCune received gold in a sustainability challenge and placed in the top ten. Shelbee Burke and Mikayla Seebohm earned gold in promote and publicize, and also placed in the top ten.
“I really enjoyed our experience and it’s definitely interesting having eight girls in a totally new place, that’s for sure. I think I learned a lot, and it helped me grow in my leadership experience to be the president of our organization next year,” said Digmann.
