Iris Elaine Neeley went to be with her Heavenly Father on August 1, 2022 at Box Butte General Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was born to Alva and Bernice Johns Neal on September 10, 1930 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
She attended Melbeta public schools until graduation. She then went to Denver School of
Business. Upon completion she returned to Scottsbluff and worked for an Insurance Agency.
There she met and later married Robert Neeley on December 1, 1951. To this union 4 children were born, Suzanne (Paul) Wills, Colleen (Doug) Hashman, Joe (Deb) Neeley and Tom Neeley.
She is survived by her children and spouses, Grandchildren Valerie (Marc) Kerschner, Nicole
(Ryan) Cameron, Amy (Michael) Davies, Tim (Sarah Boysen) Hashman, Seth, Brooke and Trey Neeley, her great grandchildren, Clara, Ellie and Myles Kerschner, Charli and Wills Cameron, Allie and Trever Davies, sisters-in-law, Glenda Neal and Lois Neeley along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Neeley, brothers, Alva (Buck), Allen and Steve Neal, brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Alta Jo Williamson, Bill and Ruby Neeley, Jerry and Wilma Wegelin, Nancy Neal, her niece Cindy Robinson and nephew Brian Neeley.
Cremation has taken place. A family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
