PSWGA Competes at Mitchell

The Panhandle Senior Women’s Golf Association played Scenic Knolls at Mitchell on July 25, with 28 ladies competing on hot, summer day.

Taking first place with a score of 74 gross/60.08 net was Marsha Neifert, Tracy Mooney, Claudia Benda, and Jeannette Fitzgerald. In second place was the team of Jane Faber, Beth Korell, Lisa Racine and Chris Lapaseotes with a score of 75 gross/60.59 net. Right behind in third place, was the team of Terry Espinoza, Mary Garwood, Jane Holechek and Sylvia Debus with a score of 75 gross/60.61 net.

Flag prizes were awarded as follows: Longest Drive “A” Player – Jane Faber, Longest Drive “B” Player – Mary Garwood, Longest Drive “C” Player – Claudia Benda and Longest Drive “D” Player – Jeannette Fitzgerald. Sally Plover and Jolene McGinnis won Longest Putt flags. Terry Espinoza was closest to the pin on the drive for Hole #5. Norma Perkins was closest to the water on Hole #4 without going in. Marsha Neifert was closest to the pin on 3rd shot at Hole #6, and Sylvia Debus was closest to the pin on the drive on Hole #8.
