Four Arrested Following Pursuit

SCOTTSBLUFF—On Aug. 21 at approximately 8 a.m., Scottsbluff Police Officers witnessed a narcotic violation in the area of Walmart.

SPD initiated a traffic stop with a maroon 2007 Ford Taurus due to the narcotic violation. The Taurus fled east bound in approximately the 700 block of E 27th St. The pursuit went through several areas within Scottsbluff, Gering and Scottsbluff County lasting approximately 35 minutes.

Speeds of approximately 100 mph were reached as the pursuit was south bound on Hwy 71 from Hwy 26. SPD conducted a successful spike strip deployment as the Taurus was north bound crossing the Broadway Scottbluff/Gering River Bridge. The Taurus came to a stop in the parking lot of First National Bank located at 1926 Broadway.

The investigation led to the arrests of: Mckayla Archibeque, 31, of Greeley, CO, for Narcotics Distribution, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Littering, Obstruction, Tampering/Destruction of Evidence, Willful Reckless Driving, and Flight to Avoid Arrest; Katherine Espley, 29 of Scottsbluff, for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Littering, Obstruction, Tampering/Destruction of Evidence, and Flight to Avoid Arrest; Keilly Iron Horse, 29 of Scottsbluff, for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Littering, Obstruction, Tampering/Destruction of Evidence, and Flight to Avoid Arrest; and Janez Williams, 30 of Denver, for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Littering, Obstruction, Tampering/Destruction of Evidence, and Flight to Avoid Arrest. The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol and Gering Police Department assisted in the response.
