Harold “Red” Croswell passed away on October 31, 2022 at Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard, NE at the age of 87.
He was born on September 23, 1935 in Phoenix, AZ to Elbert and Evelyn Croswell. The family came to Colorado when he was 9 years old. He graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1953. After graduation he joined the Army and served during the Berlin crisis. He was a member of the Fort Morgan Fire Department and retired in 1985. He then worked in the cattle industry. The family moved to Scottsbluff, NE in 1986 where he worked for Midwest PMS, retiring in 2004.
On Sept. 29, 1963 he married Dorothy Ruppel. To this union 2 sons were born, Lynn in 1967 and Terry in 1969. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, bowling and playing golf. He also enjoyed his Coors beer!!
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy of Alliance, NE; his sons, Lynn and wife Sara of Aurora, CO; Terry and wife Brenda of Alliance, NE; grandson, Justin Saltzman of Alliance NE; granddaughter, Jenna and husband JJ Yates; and great grandson, Roper Yates of Thayer,
MO.; his sister, Rosalyn Croswell, of Brush, CO; and special friends, Cal and Dee Dixon of
Kansas City, MO and their children, Bryna and Benn.
No services are planned and inurnment will take place in Fort Morgan, CO.
