Audrey Hoerler, Alliance American Legion Auxiliary Unit 7 Poppy Chairman, presents the first poppy of 2023 to American Legion Post 7 Commander Bill Miller. Poppies will be distributed randomly throughout the month of May. Donations are used for veteran-related projects including Gifts for Yanks Who Gave, Veteran Dollar Days, Hot Springs activities, VA Medical Center Gift Shops, Western Nebraska Veterans Home Christmas Wish List, state veterans homes Christmas gifts, and more. Please wear a poppy in memory or in honor of a veteran.
