Victor Paul Hoffmann Obituary

Victor Paul Hoffmann, 61, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

He was born October 9, 1961 in Valentine, NE to Thomas Victor and Ruth Ann (Lotspeich) Hoffmann.

Victor graduated from Alliance High School in 1980.  He worked as Electrician/Lineman for the City of Alliance beginning in June 1984.  He ended his career in February 2014, just 4 months shy of 30 years of service.

Vic loved his work at the City and was a very knowledgeable electrician and mentor. In his free time, Victor enjoyed watching football and never missed a Nebraska Cornhuskers football game, riding his ATV and his motorcycles and being around animals. He was a very proud papa and cherished his time spent with his granddaughter Aubrey.

He is survived by his special friend, Kerry Hickey of Alliance, his son, James(Abby) Reynolds of Lincoln, NE,  his daughter, Cassidy Hoffmann (Witt Clark) of Alliance, his granddaughter, Aubrey Clark of Alliance, his father, Thomas Hoffmann of Nenzel, NE, his sister, Mary Beth (Dave) Fergus of Silverdale, WA, his brother, John Hoffmann of Alliance, his half-brother Thomas (Stephanie) Hoffmann of Lincoln, NE his half-sister, Jennifer (Lealand) Schoon of White River, SD and 10 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Magnuson, his step-father, Arlen “Ole” Magnuson, his step-mother, Jeanette Hoffmann, his grandparents, Paul and Mabel Lotspeich and Victor and Frances Hoffmann.

Vic had a heart of gold and a deep love for animals. Memorials may be given in his honor to the following local organizations or a charity of choice: Pawsitive Endings Dog Rescue, 1641 Bel Air Avenue, Alliance, NE  69301 or P.A.W.S. (Providing AnimalsWith Shelter), P.O. Box 117, Alliance.                                     

Graveside services will be at the Alliance Cemetery on Friday July 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Russell Saito officiating. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 20 from 1-6 p.m. at Bates-Gould Funeral Home.
