Hyannis Area Schools Announce Hiring of Two New Coaches

Hyannis Area Schools is excited to announce the hiring of 2 new coaches. Billie Grant has accepted the Head Varsity Wrestling position. Billie was born and raised in Colorado and has lived in Whitman for the last 13 years. Billie was a 4 time state qualifier in high school and has been coaching youth wrestling since 2014 and has assisted with the Junior High Program the last 2 years. Billie is married to Chawnee and they have 3 kids, Kanen, Colter and Shaylee.

The Longhorns are also excited to announce the hiring of Austin Casper as One Act Head Coach. Austin takes over for the long time and highly successful coach Jeanne Gentry.

Austin has been involved in play production and speech since high school. He participated in stagemasters, the group that put on the one act (4 years) and musical productions every other year (2 years) at Boone Central, in various roles on and off the stage. In addition to play professional career, he helped coach and judge speech (National Forensics League) as an assistant in Colstrip, Montana. He also helped with tech related aspects of the school musical there.

After returning to Nebraska, he assisted with play production here at Hyannis and helped with various production aspects of events held in the renovated lecture hall at Hyannis Area Schools.
