Piecemakers Make 139 Quilts

The congregation at St. John’s Lutheran Church enjoys the comfort of 139 full-sized quilts made by St. John’s Piecemakers in the past year. The quilts will be distributed to congregational high school seniors, The Mission Store, Indian Mission Church of God, Doves and Lutheran World Relief. Twenty children/baby quilts will be given to Doves, Capstone Ministries and Western Community Health. Highland Park Care Center, Hemingford Community Care Center and Western Nebraska Veterans Home will receive the 28 lap robes. There are 13 stuffed pillow toys and three cloth books to be included in the Christmas food boxes. During the year, four dog beds were given to The Mission Store. Piecemakers is a mission program of St. John’s with members from other local churches as members.
