Sixteen young ladies from across the state gathered on Saturday night to compete in the Miss Alliance and Miss Alliance’s Teen pageant. Katelyn Bowers, the daughter of Melissa and Derrald Bowers of North Platte, was named Miss Alliance 2024. Bowers also placed 1st in the optional community service competition.
Your new Miss Panhandle 2024 is Riley Wright, the daughter of Bridget Raben and Mick Wright of Hemingford while Olivia Terwey, the daughter of Trevor and Abby Terwey of Hastings, earned the new local title of Miss Niobrara River 2024. Terwey also placed 2nd in community service. Desteny Miller, the daughter of Cherry Wulf of Arapahoe, was named the Miss Alliance 1st runner up.
Miss Alliance’s Teen 2024 is Hemingford resident Madi Meek, the daughter of Jennifer and Brett Cullan. Ella-Kathryn Anderson, daughter of Mark and Irene Anderson of Scottsbluff, earned the title of Miss Panhandle’s Teen 2024. Meek was named the Teen Miss Congeniality winner and Anderson earned the Teen Audience Choice award.
Other award recipients of the evening include Hope Hatcher, the daughter of Heather Hatcher of Gering, who was named the Miss audience choice winner; Aleena Wagner, the daughter of Brad and Aleece Wagner of Broadwater, placed 3rd in the Community service competition; and Hannah Henton, the daughter of Kris and Tom O’Brien and Jason Henton of Kimball, was voted Miss Congeniality by her peers.
Along with representing their titles for the year, the 2024 titleholders will now advance to the Miss Nebraska and Miss Nebraska’s Teen competitions held in North Platte in June of 2024.
