Throwback: Thousands Gather at Carhenge for Eclipse

On Monday, many took advantage of viewing conditions to catch a glimpse of the eclipse that swept across America, hearkening back to another time when Alliance became a destination for thousands of people to gather at Carhenge to view the total solar eclipse of 2017, including Governor Pete Ricketts and Carhenge Creator Jim Reinders. The total solar eclipse of 2017 took place on August 21. On Monday, April 8, a partial eclipse was visible all across the 48 contiguous U.S. states, giving many the opportunity to behold the wonders to be seen, so long as the weather conditions were favorable. The total solar eclipse was visible across a narrow band that crossed the United States from Del Rio, Texas to Houlton, Maine.
