AMS Throwers Finish First at Best of the West

On Tuesday morning the Alliance Middle School track teams traveled to the Best of the West meet which was held in Scottsbluff. The Bulldogs qualified 13 athletes for the event. AMS had 10 boys took part while 3 girls competed.

Alliance was especially strong in the boy’s throws with 8th grader Colter Tolstedt winning the shot put with a throw of 41’5 and 8th grader Jaden Guerra taking first in the discus with a toss of 125’5. Will Zurn, also an 8th grader, had a nice day taking second in both the 800 and mile. Top finisher for the AMS Lady Bulldogs was Braylin Gibson who took fifth in the 200 hurdles.
