BBC 4-H Announces Scholarship Winners

The Box Butte County 4-H Council congratulates these Box Butte County 4-H members on their high school graduation and wishes them much success. We know this year was very different for our high school seniors. We are proud of this well-deserved accomplishment that you have achieved! Our Box Butte County 4-H Seniors include: Aiden Bolek, Brookelynn warner, Celia Buskirk, Haden Karell, Isabell Gomez, Kaylee Henthorn, Morgan LeMunyan, Sierra Banks, Tarryn Swanson, and Tate Thompson.

The Box Butte County 4-H Council is pleased to announce the three recipients of the 2024 4-H 5C’s Scholarships. The criteria used to select the recipients includes leadership, academics, personal growth, and 4-H career. An emphasis is placed on leadership, involvement, and growth within the 4-H program.

The following High School Seniors were selected to receive scholarships:

Aiden Bolek, Alliance High School, son of Mandy Shaul-Bolek and Brad Bolek is presented a $1,000 4-H Box Butte County 5C’s Scholarship.

Brookelynn Warner, Hemingford High School, daughter of Andrew Warner and Kim Warner is presented a $1,000 4-H Box Butte County 5C’s Scholarship.

Celia Buskirk, Amazing Grace Christian School, daughter of Chad & Alexis Buskirk is presented a $1,000 4-H Box Butte County 5C’s Scholarship.

In addition to the graduating senior scholarships, the 4-H Council awards two $1,000 scholarships annually to 4-H alumni who are sophomore, junior or senior college students and have shared how their 4-H experience has impacted their life. Due to only 3 High School Scholarship applications, the Box Butte County 4-H Council will award the $500 – 2024 Sharon Davis Memorial Scholarship to a 4-H Alumni.

Recipients of the Box Butte County 4-H Alumni scholarship this year are Shelbee Burke, daughter of Tom and Gail Burke, who is attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Wade Sanders, son of Tom and Teresa Sanders, who is attending Texas Tech University. The Sharon Davis scholarship recipient is Catherine Bryner, daughter of Dusty & Sally Bryner, who is attending Chadron State College.
