Rock Valley Physical Therapy to Close

Rock Valley Physical Therapy will close its Alliance office July 29, 2024 according to Jeff Zimmerman, PT, DPT, ATC, Nebraska Region Manager.

In the early 1990’s, Karen Brown, PT, and her husband Don, moved from Omaha to their hometown of Alliance to be closer to their parents. Karen soon realized there was a severe shortage of physical therapists with only one PT to cover the Box Butte County. By October of 1994, Karen had opened her doors and began doing business as Alliance Physical Therapy. After many years of dedicated service to the community, Karen sold her business to Mike Stodden, PT of Elkhorn, Nebraska. The clinic continued to thrive and in 2021, joined forces with Rock Valley Physical Therapy.

“Our dedicated physical therapist, Brittany McClary, PT, DPT who has been an integral part of our clinic and your healthcare journey for 10 great years, is relocating due to family needs,’’ Zimmerman said in a letter to the many patients the Rock Valley Alliance-based clinic served.

“Despite our best efforts to find a suitable replacement, we have been unable to identify a therapist who meets our standards of care and commitment to excellence,’’ added Zimmerman.

It is a priority, Zimmerman notes, to ensure a smooth transition for Rock Valley patients to find alternative physical therapy options. All patients will be notified, and current patients will be provided with resources for continued care.

“We express our deepest gratitude to every one of our patients who have entrusted us with their care over the years. It has been a privilege to be a part of this community.’’ Zimmerman shared in his letter to all involved. McClary included, “We want to thank the community for its incredible support of our small business over the past 30 years. We have enjoyed BBQ lunches, writing health articles in the paper, the “Because I Can 5K”, and sponsoring school and community events in the Panhandle area. Our business has been supported by so many loyal patients and we can’t thank you enough.”
