Pool League Champions Crowned

Local pool players were recognized for winning the Spring Session of the American Poolplayers Association (APA) 8-Ball and 9-Ball Pool Leagues.

Winning the Monday 9-Ball title was “Break N Run” out of The Gathering Spot in Alliance including Monte Dexter, Tammy Coward, Carter Vath, Ron Nagaki, Harley Keenan, Anita Olvera, Ryan Taylor and Tala Olvera.

League MVP awards went to Royce Wagner, Scott Bolinger, and Willie Smith.

Taking the Wednesday 8-Ball championship was “The Dominators” out of The Gathering Spot in Alliance including Carter Vath, De Vath, Truen Henderson, Leta Lucero, Bernardo Reza, Nathan Grant, Tony Gonzalez and Ryan Taylor.

League MVP honors went to Johnny Corson, Anita Olvera, and Sergio Airada.

The winning teams each session advance to the Western Nebraska APA World Qualifiers to compete for trips to the APA World Pool Championships in Las Vegas.

A new session of the APA Pool League starts in September. Teams have until Friday, August 25th to register.
