BBHF Golf Classic Looks Fore-ward

On Saturday July 27th the Box Butte Health Foundation (BBHF) Golf Classic raised $31,278. All funds raised this year will contribute to the new Dialysis Unit. Over the last seven years, the Golf Classic has raised $173,106 total for Box Butte General Hospital and the surrounding area.

In recent years funds have supported the construction of the Rehab & Wellness Center, multiple pieces of equipment for various departments (recumbent stepper, ID now machine, bladder scanner, hearing booth, EKG machine, and recliners for patient rooms to name a few), and other projects focused on improving the health of Box Butte County. BBHF Director Chelsea Thompson said, “We are excited to build a weekend every year where you are able to look forward to experiencing the joy of including an organization that plays a key role within the community in your charitable giving.”

It’s not just about the money. The atmosphere the day of the event is filled with fun-loving, generous people who enjoy the game of golf and the company of each other.

“It is so enjoyable to see hospital vendors, employees, and community members come together to celebrate the hospital, and a worthy cause,” Thompson said. The BBHF thanks everyone for their support for the Foundation and its quest to ensure the health of BBGH and the community. The tournament wouldn’t be what it is today without the generous sponsors and participants from near and far!

There is always something to learn with each passing year, and more fun things to add. “We want to keep the atmosphere of the tournament the same fun, light, and competitive feel it’s had. We’re already looking forward to next year,” Thompson said. “We hope to see you on the green!”
