On the evening of September 22nd, the Alliance Public Library hosted a book signing for our incredible Jaynet McCance, author of “Jessie”. Jaynet, along with her granddaughters, shared a bit about her life and how she completed a novel. Jaynet shared that she has been published in newspapers and periodicals, including a horticultural newsletter called “Coming up Roses”.
She was a member of the Black Hills Writing Group, where she honed her writing skills and made many friends. She dreamed up the premise for “Jessie” during the many hours she spent on horseback, moving cattle with her husband. Now, at age 93 she is writing a sequel to “Jessie”.
