∙ Maintenance staff’s big project this week was to finish painting on Runway 17/35, chevrons, and fuel truck parking area. The goal is to paint the terminal parking lot before the weather gets too cold. Our biggest obstacle will be re-directing parking of passengers while work is done.

∙ Maintenance staff serviced airport pickup, installed exit signs and white board in ARFF station, and completed required weekly inspections.

∙ Safety Inspections – maintenance staff conduct multiple airfield inspections daily. This is done early in the morning before the first commercial flight of the day, anytime they are out on the airfield, and once during darkness, which allows the lights of the airfield to be inspected. Staff are always keeping their eyes open for any foreign objects on the aircraft surfaces, unwanted wildlife, lights and NAVAIDS operating, and safety areas of aircraft surfaces. The complete list of items they are looking for or checking is roughly 60 items.
