The Alliance Police Department is investigating the theft of campaign sign on Mississippi Avenue on Oct. 31, an incident that was caught on camera.
Chief David Leavitt issued a press release about the incident with an accompanying video on Friday morning. He noted that they have received sporadic reports of campaign sign thefts, but before this incident, none with clear video or enough evidence to go on.

“The Alliance Police Department supports the rights of all citizens to feel safe and secure on their property, take part in the political process, and support candidates of their choice while remaining free from harassment, theft or other targeted behavior,” Leavitt said in the press release.
