For the past two years, the Box Butte Health Foundation has hosted a cash raffle to benefit local cancer financial assistance program, Jane’s Closet. The raffle has raised in total $65,000 for Jane’s Closet, and awarded a grand prize of $10,000, second prize of $5,000, and third prize of $2,500 each year.
This year’s grand prize winner was Laurie and Gary Gould of Alliance (pictured with BBHF Director Chelsea Thompson and BBHF Board President Molly McConkey-Vergil). Laurie said, “We were more than happy to support this cause, especially because it gives back to our community.”
Winners are randomly selected each year at an event. Second prize was awarded to Pasha Korber, and third prize was awarded to Deana Andrew.
