Game 2 of Doubleheader Goes to White Team 5 to 2

A four run fourth inning carried the Peltz Co White team past the Navy squad 5 to 2 in the second game of a doubleheader between the 2 Alliance clubs. Earlier in the day, the White also got the victory 6 to 4. The battles were played Wednesday in Alliance. Pitching was key for the Whites as the Navy team was held to just 2 hits. Kegan Nelson was the White starter and went 3 innings, giving up just one hit and striking out three. Israel Garcia was the starter for the Navy group. Garcia went three and 2/3 , allowing 4 hits and striking out 4.

After a scoreless top of the first, the White went ahead with a tally in the bottom of the opening frame. Tony Escamilla walked and later score the game’s first run on a RBI hit by Jaxson Esparza. Navy came back to tie the game in the second. A Casyn Nelson hit began the mini rally and eventually Nelson scored on a wild pitch. Two hits for the White in bottom of the inning was the highlight but neither runners would score. Collecting hits for the Peltz Co were Carver Nemnich and Espen Lanik. Bats were silent in the third and the teams headed to the fourth tied at 1.

Momentum then went to the White team. After holding the Navy scoreless in the top of inning #4, the White offense came alive. A hit by Creighton Fritzler started things. It was followed by a pair of walks that loaded the bases for Escamilla. The White third baseman also walked as the White surge ahead 2 to 1. Inning 4 came to a close with a bases clearing double by Kobe Strom. After 4 complete, the White led 5 to 1. The Navy team would get one tally in the top of the final thanks to a hit by Fletcher Moseman but it wasn’t enough. Final White 5 Navy 2
