It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ambrosia “Amby” Marx, age 72, of Alliance,
Nebraska, on August 23, 2025. She was born on October 15, 1952, in Pasco, Washington.
Amby found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved watching movies, playing cards, fishing, and sharing stories and laughter with her friends and family. Her warm presence and easy smile made every gathering brighter.
She is survived by her devoted husband, John Marx; her son, James Mattock; her daughter-in-law, Shawna Mattock; her stepdaughter, Carrie Whitcomb; her stepson, TJ Marx; and her cherished granddaughter, Maddie Marx. She also leaves behind many dear friends who were blessed by her kindness and companionship.
Amby was preceded in death by her beloved son, Trent Mattock, and now rests peacefully by his side once more.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
