SPD Announces Re-Accreditation

The Scottsbluff Police Department has been granted re-accreditation through January of 2028. The department received the initial accreditation in October of 2022. In order to receive or maintain accreditation our agency has:

-stayed current with all data reporting required by the state

-remained 100% compliant with officers continuing education requirements

-remained 100% compliant with officers meeting the state firearm standard

-complied with Change of Status requirements

-maintained a background investigation process that meets the state standard

-created or maintained the following policies in accordance to state statute;

Body-worn Cameras

Racial Profiling/Implicit Bias

Duty to Intervene

Receiving and Investigating Misconduct Complaints

Use of Force

Ethics

Pursuit of Motor Vehicles
