Scotts Bluff County Sheriff
On Friday, August 22, 2025, Deputies responded to a report of an MIP Party near County Road U and Wrights Gap Road. The first officers arrived at 11:00 p.m. on August 22, and the last officers cleared the location six hours later at 5:00 a.m. on August 23. During this incident persons and vehicles fled or attempted to flee the scene. Officers made multiple traffic stops and obtained a search warrant for the property.
Officers from the Gering and Scottsbluff Police Departments and the Nebraska State Patrol assisted. The Minatare/Melbeta Fire Department and Regional West ambulance also assisted to check on various minor injuries. No one was transported to the hospital.
Nine adults over the age of 18 were arrested.
Fourteen juveniles between the ages of 14 and 18 were issued citations.

Criminal mischief-$0-500
DUI-alcohol-1st offense
Minor in possession – under 19/1st off.
Obstruct a peace officer
Procure/sell alcohol to minor/incompetent
