Some of the state’s best boys wrestlers met in Kearney on Friday. The Younces Hospitality Duals was a showcase of talent from all over the area. Alliance had a great performance, going 2 and 3 for the day. Top Dogs-sophomore Wyatt Stabnow and junior Trini Trejo-led AHS by ending the day at 5 and 0. The Bulldogs also had four wrestlers finish at 4 and 1. They were: Jett Childers, Lucas Weber, Coy Childers, and Andrew Benzel.
Alliance downed Broken Bow 36 to 34 and Sedgwick County/Fleming 46 to 27 for their 2 team wins. Losses came to Lincoln Southeast 47 to 31, Milliard West 45 to 26, and the Kearney JVs 29 to 45.
