Playground

Reflections

By Gene Nerland

My heart goes out to the children who are out on the playground every day trying to learn to fit in. It is very painful for those little hearts when it just does not happen for different reasons. The playground is an important place for those precious little ones. When rejection or seemingly rejection happens a lot those little ones face emotions and hurts that they really don’t want to have. It can even detour their path in life. When we become adults maybe we are still on the playground but instead it is called life. We might get along great on the ground of life or maybe one still struggles to get along? When one becomes a Christian it can become harder on the playground of life.

The world senses that Holy Spirit that is in you and rejects it. It is really God they are rejecting and not you. Life brings a lot of joy and life brings a lot of pain also. There is only one answer to the pain and that is to trust in Jesus who leads us through all the storms in life.

There are times when we don’t feel like being kind and forgiving to the ones who have hurt us but it still is the only and I mean only way to go. We are very vulnerable people on the playground and in life and we can go forward with full assurance that we are on the right path of life.

Keep a keen eye out for those who struggle and encourage them and even use your past pain to help understand them. God loves us dearly and says we are precious in His sight.
