Eight schools took to the track on Thursday, participating in the Ed Moore invitational in Ogallala. With 133 points, the Cozad boys won the team race while taking second was Chase County who tallied 112.33 points. Gothenburg ended third with 102 points. The Alliance boys were fifth, finishing with 44 tallies. Chase County won on the girl’s side with 125 points with Sidney as the runner up with 88 points. Gothenburg finished third with 87. With 46 tallies, the Lady Bulldogs of Alliance ended sixth.
AHS had a pair of gold medalists with Maslin Breen winning the high jump and the boy’s 2 mile relay placing first. Team members were Asher Saka, Will Zurn, Devin Graham and Trevor Zurn. Along with the host Indians and the Bulldogs, other teams competing were: Chase County, Sidney , Gothenburg, Mitchell, Cozad, and Chadron.
