Game #2 on the Sidney tourney featured another no hitter tossed by Alliance. On Saturday, the Aces defeated the Outlaws 3 to 0. Hurlers King Lopez and Iric Johnson combined for the no no. Lopez started the game, had 2 strikeouts and allowed no hits while Johnson pitched the final three no hit frames and recorded 7 Ks. Alliance closed the battle with 4 hits with Lopez the leader with 2.
No runs were scored in the first two frames. The Aces got a first inning knock by Lopez but no scores. In the third, the Alliance offense was successful with two runs. Hits by Landon Gentleman and Joseph Vela made it 2 to 0. The Outlaws were again turned away in the home half and the matchup went to the fourth with the Aces ahead by 2.
Alliance added to their margin in the top of inning #4. Braven Gange walked and moved into scoring position after a hit by Lopez. A passed ball then made it 3 to 0. Three strikeouts by Johnson in the bottom kept the Outlaws off the board. Frame five had both teams go scoreless with Johnson recording two more Ks.
