The Alliance Police Department is proud to recognize Sergeant Jim Grumbles for recently completing the FBI-LEEDA Supervisory Leadership Institute in Gainesville, Florida.
The week-long program provides law enforcement supervisors with advanced leadership training focused on effective communication, ethical decision-making, organizational leadership, problem-solving, and building high-performing teams. The course is designed to equip supervisors with practical leadership skills that can be immediately applied within their agencies and communities.
A 22-year veteran of the Alliance Police Department, Sergeant Grumbles currently serves as a patrol supervisor and is the department’s lead Defensive Tactics and PepperBall instructor. Throughout his career, he has played a key role in training and mentoring new officers, helping prepare the next generation of law enforcement professionals while promoting officer safety, professionalism, and de-escalation.
“Leadership is a skill that requires continual learning,” said Chief David Leavitt. “Jim has always been committed to improving himself, not only as a supervisor but as a mentor and instructor. His willingness to invest in professional development ultimately benefits every officer he leads and the community we serve.”
