Chadron hosted their Cross Country meet on Friday. Twelve varsity squads and eleven middle school teams took part. Team scores in the varsity boy’s division had Custer first and Scottsbluff taking second. Ending in fifth was Hemingford while Alliance took eighth. Scottsbluff was the winner in the varsity girl’s level with Chadron second. In Junior High boy’s team race, it was Sidney first, Gering second, Alliance seventh, and Hemingford ninth. For the third week in a row, the AMS’s girls were the champs with the Lady Bobcats from Hemingford finishing second.
Top finishers on the day were Emma Raban who was first in the girl’s junior high division. The Bobcat seventh grader clocked in at 11:41. In the varsity boy’s race, Hemingford was led by Austin Benda who was second while Fletcher Moseman ended sixth.
