A battle of undefeated teams met Friday in Kimball. Hemingford downed the hosts 44 to 14 to go to 3 and 0 for the year. HHS took a 30 to 0 lead at halftime then added two more scores to keep their record perfect. The Cats got a nice night from running back Zaine Feist who ended with 150 yards. Feist also caught a TD pass from quarterback Carson Haas.
Up 8 to 0, a three yard TD run by Feist helped the Bobcats control the action. The point after was no good and with 6:25 showing on the clock, Hemingford was up 14 to 0. The guests expanded their margin in the second with 2 more tallies. At the 4:13 mark of the second, a nice screen pass from Haas to Feist was good for another TD for the guests. The play went 8 yards and the half ended with the Cats up 30 to 0.
Kimball scored first in the third to pull within 24 at 30 to 6 before a 30 yard touchdown run by Anthony Haas gave the visitors some breathing room. The PAT was good as the Bobcats went up 38 to 6. With under 6 minutes left, Cooper Gallas scored the Cat’s last TD with a one yard run. Hemingford was denied the extra point. The Longhorns put the final points of the game with a score later but it wasn’t enough. Final Hemingford 44 Kimball 14
