Delma (Dalldorf) Turgeon, 97, passed away on April 19, 2026.
She was born January 17,1929 on a farm in Naper, Nebraska, to Albert and Dorie
Dalldorf. She had an older sister Avis.
As she was growing up, Delma’s family moved a few times before settling in

babysitting and realized then that she wanted to be a teacher to share her
knowledge with children.
Delma’s first job was in Brunswick, Nebraska, where she met her future husband
Will Turgeon. They had many happy years together including the adoption of their
only child, Susan. Will and Delma were living in Bullhead City, Arizona, when will
passed away in 2008. Delma later met her beloved Norman Lykhen and they
shared several memorable years together filled with love and laughter.
Delma was a proud member of the Bullhead City Elks, Moose and VFW. She taught in the Alliance Public Schools. She was a longtime member of The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 7, and she and Will were faithful members of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Alliance, Nebraska.
Delma is survived by her partner for life, Norm Lykhen, daughter Susan Bell and
grandson Nick Bell.
There will be a Celebration of Delma’s life in Bullhead City in the fall when many
of her friends return for the winter.
