Since the election is only one month from now, I have a question about the survival of the coal industry that supports our local economy.
The Democratic party has been clear about their preference of “clean energy” and intent to eliminate coal production as an energy source.
I have not read or heard any information from BNSF about this concern leading up to this election.
Should this concern become a reality, I can only assume that many railroad jobs would eliminated in Alliance.
