Part of Something Bigger

If you’ve been fortunate enough to be part of something bigger than yourself, then you can relate to what happens at East Point Horspice when, as one of our mottos describes, EPH becomes the place “Where people and horses come together.”

On the surface it may look like only a horse activity where kids go riding, but becoming an active participant in EPH programs will demonstrate how the riders develop a meaningful relationship with their horses, the volunteers and the other riders. The horses, with their inquisitive and thoughtful nature, create a conduit for the humans to learn about horses as well as allowing the riders to learn more about themselves, perhaps work through personal challenges, and establish friendships with people sharing common interests.

The deeper you allow yourself to be involved, you may discover that the EPH programs take on a life of their own and develop many layers of love, compassion, empathy and responsibility. The ability of horses to provide a safe and nurturing environment must be witnessed personally to truly understand.

EPH will be hosting their 10th annual fundraiser at the Eagles on Feb. 27. You are invited to get a taste of the magic horses provide.
