Get to Know Officer Muniz #104

My name is Reina Muniz, and I was born in Greeley, Colorado. I was raised in Boise, Idaho, where I attended my first year of college at Boise State University. I enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in 2012 as an Intelligence Analyst. I was stationed in North Carolina, where I became an Intelligence Chief for Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 461. I deployed on a Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force to Central America in 2015, where I expanded my humanitarian issues experience.

I volunteered to deploy on USS Iwo Jima in 2018 to render aid for those affected by Hurricane Florence, and that fueled my passion for helping those in need. I joined the Alliance Police Department in August of 2020. I am currently a full-time student at American Military University, where I study Intelligence with a concentration in Criminal Intelligence. I chose to become a police officer because I believe in devotion to duty. I am honored to be of service to the citizens of the city of Alliance. My policing style is best reflected by the mission of APD, excellence, professionalism, integrity, and copious amounts of compassion. I am fortunate to have a loving family who supports me as a law enforcement officer.
