The Alliance FNBO Spartans ended their season as state runner up, after being defeated by Hickman at the Class B American Legion Championship Game.
They battled against Hickman for the second time at the state tournament after defeating Crete 7-1, punching their ticket to the championship game last Wednesday.
In the championship match up, the Spartans scored once in seven innings, with Hickman overpowering them and scoring 14 by the end of the game.
The Spartans end their season with a record of 43-13.
