Attention to young aspiring new and returning 4-H sewers! Natasha Schumacher is wanting to start meeting with 4-H members who are interested in learning how to quilt. The group will first meet on Sunday, Nov. 21 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Box Butte County Extension Office. Beginning and advanced sewers are welcome to attend. During these meetings youth will work on sewing a 9-patch quilt and work on a group Quilt of Valor quilt. The goal of this group is to have a quilt ready for county fair. At the first meeting youth will need to purchase fabric and thread prior to Nov. 21. Beginning sewers can purchase four charm packs and 1 ¼ yards of a coordinating fabric or purchase yardage.
