Panhandle COVID Cases See Decline

Following an all-time high number of COVID cases throughout the Panhandle, the region has seen a decline in the number of cases.

According to the Nebraska Panhandle COVID-19 Dashboard, the region has seen 108 cases in the past seven days, with only 12 new cases in Box Butte County during that time frame. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 286 deaths in the region attributed to COVID-19, though more deaths are pending verification. As of press time, there were a total of 13 active hospitalizations due to COVID in the Panhandle.
