Easter Egg Hunt Brings Joy to the Youth

The Easter Egg hunt hosted by the Alliance Chamber of Commerce brought joy to the community, with a surprise visitor: the Easter Bunny.

The Alliance Chamber of Commerce hosted an Easter egg hunt at the practice fields on April 12. The turnout had not been as great as in the past. However it was a brisk day with a chilly breeze, the Director of the Aliance Chamber of Commerce Susan Unzicker noted.

“With the weather, I expected a lower turnout. Hopefully next year our weather will be better. We always usually try to plan it the Tuesday before Easter, then try to watch the weather. With the forecast not getting much better for the rest of the week we just decided to do the egg hunt on that Tuesday,” said Unzicker.

The weather did not stop some members of the community, however, as they came to the event in hopes of finding candy and the special eggs that would win them an Easter basket full of goodies. There had also been a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny, where kids got to take photos and admire the Easter Bunny’s hopping skills.

Unizicker is thankful for the business and community support and for their participation in helping sponsor the Easter egg hunt.
