After claiming first place at the District 8 Unified Bowling tournament in Gering, the Alliance Unified Bowlers punched their ticket to state.
At the tournament, Alliance recorded a final score of 940. North Platte took second place with a score of 868. Scottsbluff took third place with a score of 788. McCook claimed fourth with a score of 741. Taking fifth at the tournament was Gordon-Rushville with a score of 700. Ogallala placed sixth with a score of 694, and South Platte took seventh with a score of 694. Bridgeport took eighth place with a score of 443.
The bowlers traveled to Omaha Monday to kick off the state tournament. The bowlers fell in the first round of the state tournament to Northwest.
