The Alliance High School Unified Bowling team took first place at their tournament last Saturday at Bowl Mor Lanes.
Other teams competing were from Gordon-Rushville, Scottsbluff and Bridgeport. Following a Baker (team scoring) round of three games, teams were matched up for bracket play — best two of three games.
Alliance bowled against Scottsbluff 3 in their first bracket round, followed by Alliance vs. Scottsbluff 1 in the second bracket round. In their final game, AHs rolled against Gordon-Rushville 2, hitting top pin count in two of two games.
The Alliance bowlers were Sarah Schnell, Daulton Mangas, Garrett Myers, Ian Gomez and Brexton Kimmel. Team coaches are Laura and Joe Mangas and Kirk and Heidi Hutson. The next meet is Saturday, Nov. 5, at Bridgeport.
