The Bulldogs traveled to Bayard to compete in the Bayard B-C-D Track and Field meet on May 6, where the Mens Varsity placed third out of ten teams with 86 team points. The Womens Varsity had won and earned a first place finish out of 11 other teams with 125.4 team points.
The Bulldogs put on a show in Bayard, where they won eight different events. Athletes put on double and triple gold performances.
Isaiah Martinez put on a double gold performance in Shot Put and Discus, with a throw of 50’ 10 in Shot Put and a throw of 140’ 1 in Discus. Benjamin Cassatt-Reina won the 3200 Meter with a time of 11:17.74a.
Jaelynne Clarke put on a triple gold performance where she won the Triple Jump with a jump of 33’ 5.25 and earned two other gold medals in the 4×100 and 4×400 relays. The Womens 4×100 Relay won with a time of 52.20a where Jaelynne Clarke, Josie Sanders, Kenna Montes and Amauri Browning earned gold medals for their performance. The 4×400 Relay team also won their event which consisted of Jaelynne Clarke, Riley Lawrence, Kenna Montes and Macey Seebohm. Macey Seebohm put on a double gold performance as she also earned a gold medal in the 800 Meter winning with a time of 2:28.27a. Josie Sanders who was also part of the 4×100 Relay team also won the 300m Hurdles putting on a double gold performance.
