Alliance High School’s Unified Bowling team hosted a tournament this past Saturday with a total of 12 teams participating. Alliance and Gordon-Rushville brought four teams each, with Scottsbluff at three teams and Bridgeport with one. Unified games and tournaments use Baker scoring which is a team score rather than individual scores. The morning opened with teams bowling three games each for pin count, followed by games slotted against each other by pin count scores. In the championship round flight one began with Alliance 2 vs Gordon-Rushville 1; Alliance 3 vs Gordon-Rushville 3; Gordon-Rushville 2 vs Bridgeport; and Gordon-Rushville 1 vs Scottsbluff 2. The next level placed Alliance 2 vs Alliance 3 and Gordon-Rushville 2 vs Gordon-Rushville 1. Gordon-Rushville 1 out-bowled Alliance 2 to win the tournament. In the consolation bracket Alliance 1 took Alliance 4 and Scottsbluff 3 took Gordon-Rushville 4, with Scottsbluff winning the round. On Saturday, a meet will take place at Gordon-Rushville.
