Allen Alexander Morris obituary

Allen Alexander Morris passed away April 4, 2022 at Chimney Rock Nursing Home in Bayard, Nebraska.  Allen was born February 7, 1951 to Donald and Mary Kate Davee Morris.

Allen married Lana Blue and from this union two sons were born,  Alan Paul Morris and Aaron Alexander Morris.  Allen would later marry Patricia Linnett they had one son Justin Allen Morris Bolinger.

He was a graduate of Alliance High and completed two year course in Aeronautics engineering in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  Allen was fourth in his class. Allen loved to fly on weekends he would save his earned money from working at the Times Herald for that 15 minute blessing.

Allen played the drums and accordion he would get calls for a drummer from different small bands.  He also enjoyed playing the accordion for residents at he the Villa Nursing home and he would play the congo drums for entertainment.  He enjoyed listening to Jazz and had a very large collection from different artists.  Allen had a great sense of humor he was always doing something comical in his mannerism in his dance or facial gesture.  He was a funny man.

Allen had worked for Turf Rental as a Small engine Mechanics for several years.

Allen was a strong advocate for mental Illness awareness.  he was a member a Cirrus House and did volunteering when he was able to do so He also was a spokesman at several benefits and banquets and was sent by plane to different location. This was before Cirrus House had lost funding. He also enjoyed being a part of the Cirrus play house where they put on skits.

Survivors include his sons , Alan Paul Morris of Denver, Co., Aaron Alexander Morris of Gering, Nebraska and Justin Allen Morris Bolinger of Lincoln, Nebraska. Allen has two grandsons,  Augustin and Landon.  He is also survived by his brother, Donald Paul (Julie) Morris and his sister, Rebecca (William) Bowman. Allen was preceded in death by grandson, mother, father sister Nancy and longtime girlfriend Patricia Linnette

Memorials may be given to the Cirrus House in Scottsbluff.

Memorial services will be Friday, May 6 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel.  Reverend Don Mink and Sister Linda Abold will officiate.  Interment will be in the Alliance Cemetery.
