The Alliance Bulldogs are back on track, after rebounding from last week’s loss to Omaha Skutt Catholic, chalking up two more wins for the season.
On Friday, the boys traveled to Mitchell, where they took on the Tigers. In the first quarter, the Bulldogs set the pace for the game, posting 16 points while limiting Mitchell to 10. The second quarter was a repeat, with Alliance heading into the second half with a score of 32-20. However, in the third quarter, the Tigers rallied, posting 23 points and preventing the Bulldogs from scoring more than 15 points. In the final quarter, Alliance halted Mitchell’s momentum, scoring 17 points and limiting the Tigers to 12. The Bulldogs claimed victory with a final score of 64-55.
On Saturday, the Bulldogs played host to the Sidney Red Raiders. Alliance opened the game by scoring 17 points in the first quarter, limiting the Red Raiders to nine. In the second, the Bulldogs posted an additional 14 and Sidney posted six. In the third quarter, Alliance remained on top, posting 15 points while the Red Raiders garnered 13. In the final quarter, the Red Raiders rallied, posting 19 points, with the Bulldogs only posting 15. However, it was not enough for the Red Raiders, and the Bulldogs claimed the victory with a final score of 61-47.
