Alliance Boys Find Success Against Hastings

The Alliance Bulldogs were on the road Friday and Saturday as they went 1-1 over the weekend against the Hastings Tigers and the Omaha Skutt Catholic Skyhawks.

On Friday, the Bulldogs took on the Tigers in Hastings, starting the game strong with 19 points in the first quarter and limiting Hastings to 12 points. In the second quarter, the Tigers rallied, posting 17 points, while the Bulldogs only posted six. The rally was short-lived, however, as Alliance posted 13 points in the third quarter while keeping Hastings to eight. The final quarter saw some tight action as the Bulldogs posted 11 points and the Tigers garnered 10, giving the Bulldogs the victory with a final score of 49-47.

On Saturday, the Bulldogs took on the Skyhawks at Kearney Catholic. The Skyhawks showed their strength in the first half, posting 16 points in the first quarter and 27 in the second while limiting the Bulldogs to nine in each quarter. In the third quarter, Alliance scored 12 points, but Omaha Skutt Catholic continued their rally, posting 24 points. In the final quarter, Alliance garnered 10 points, while Skutt posted an additional 20, taking the win with a final score of 87-40.

The Bulldogs are now 4-1 this season as they prepare for their next game in Mitchell on Friday.
